Cats are adorable, no matter how you cut it. But sometimes pet owners go a little overboard with forcing their independent feline friends into costumes that 1) they are miserable in, 2) aren’t even that cute, or 3) are just downright confusing. This line of up wanna-be Halloween costume winners have left us baffled (if not a little, teensy bit amused)!

This is just awkward for several reason. The cat looks uncomfortable (I hear you, cat.  We don’t like wearing those party hats either!), and the beer in the background isn’t even the Irish classic Guinness! So many feelings… we just have to move on.

Somebody’s pet parent went a little overboard this year. “Thanks for making us match, Mom. In pink…chef costumes.” Their social lives will never be the same. And the cat knows it

And then there’s Jailbird Pete, the Peterbald cat who is doing time (and penance for having to wear these hideous stripes. Fortunately, horizontal lines can’t make this skinny guy look fat.)

A cat dressed as a cheerleader?  Oh yes, because in the domestic pet world, cats ALWAYS deserve the spirit award.  (Somewhere all Labs and Golden Retrievers are collectively dying of laughter).

If the goal was to make him look like an actual pumpkin… FAIL. Just, fail.

And what’s with the misguided holiday costumes, like an odd little Christmas tree kitty? Crotchet. Green yard. That’s a double loss.

…as is Rudolf’s brown-nosed reindeer friend. Stop making us think about Christmas in October! I mean, the hallmark stores start blowing up the second Halloween is over. Why begin the madness now? We just want one minute of PEACE, people. Just one!

I am not sure who is more disgruntled, the cats in costumes or the dogs dressed as cats. This Bulldog does look euphorically happy after all. It is amazing how much humiliation our pets put up with!
