Pet Food Recall: Dave’s Dog Food

On Tuesday December 1^st, Dave’s Pet Food has officially recalled the “Dave’s Simply The Best Dog Food” due to a questionable odor. This odor is believed to be caused by rancidity from high peroxide in that particular batch. While all the ingredients used in production were of good quality, the rice bran appeared to be causing the odor, resulting in a disposal of that ingredient.

Dave’s Pet Food, based in Agawam Massachusetts warns consumers to dispose of any packages with the “Best Use By” date of October 15, 2016.
